Snack with the lions from Diergaarde Blijdorp Zoo

14 September 2016

This summer, Diergaarde Blijdorp Zoo welcomed the rare Asian lions as guests. With less than 300 Asian lions left in the wild, the arrival of this endangered species was much to celebrate about.Diergaarde Blijdorp created an entirely new habitat for the lions and even renovated the historic Sybold van Ravesteyn Teahouse and transformed it into a new restaurant, The Port of Asia.Extremely proud of its new habitat for the “King of the Beasts,” Diergaarde Blijdoorp contacted Gemaco to create a special promotional item to celebrate the arrival of the Asian lions. We worked together and designed the perfect gift for children—a unique lunchbox with two zoo tickets! The lunchbox features the newly welcomed Asian lions and is perfect for school or day trips to the zoo!
