Project Manager - Packaging & Premiums

We are looking for a Project Manager who is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and shipping schedules for Packaging & Premiums (promotional products) projects, as well as manage the timelines and suppliers through to delivery. The PM will also follow each of Supremia’s orders, creating timelines and following the production and shipment. This will require leading internal meetings, developing standardized timelines, and implementing systems to help guarantee on-time and in-full delivery. This position reports to the Account Director.

 

Main responsibilities & key accountabilities

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Measure project performance (KPI) using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

  • Conduct post-mortems on projects and share with interested parties

  • Delegate project tasks based on individuals strengths, skill set, and experience levels

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long- term goals

 

Packaging, VAP, LTO Projects:

  • Direct internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.

  • Coordinate delivery of accurate purchase orders and spec sheets to suppliers

  • Generate and monitor timelines. Regularly review templates to ensure accuracy

  • Meet with sales/innovation to take detailed hand-over briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

  • Follow the stages of production (regulatory & quality testing, purchase of materials, approval samples, production, production samples, inspection) to ensure each step is happening on time

  • Communicate/follow-up with overseas offices and domestic suppliers about production statuses

  • Ensure all vested parties are kept updated on project/production issues especially for delays or missed deadlines.

  • Constantly keep management informed of progress and issues. Critical to escalate concerns so there are no surprises.

 

Key role competencies

 

Skills/Requirements:

  • Project Management experience or similar Production management experience or similar Some understanding of importing

  • Some experience with production in China

  • Ability to client interface via email, conference calls and face to face Ability to lead internal meetings, delegate action items and follow up Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organization skills, can effectively prioritize Excellent communicator

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities Conflict resolution experience

  • Adaptability

  • Able to tolerate stress

  • Capable of managing ambiguity and leading without instruction

  • Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

  • Travel as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • BSBA or similar degree

  • 5-10 years experience in Project Management

  • Packaging experience is a plus
